Picture this - late December 2017, Christmas has just passed, twinkling lights are still adorning rooftops, and snow flurries are starting to fall from the East Texas sky. I am typing away at my desk job as an accountant, when I receive a phone call from my sister who is pregnant with her first child. The next few minutes, well hour really, is a blur...(Stay with me, I promise this has a purpose.)

My sister: "Hey! Um, well, we're having a baby....today. Like within the hour!" 
Me: "Wait, what? Why? Is everything okay?"  (She's only 36/37 weeks along, but had been experiencing high BP some)
My sister: "Well the doctor said lets do it [schedule a c-section] Tuesday, and Rusty joked with her and said what's the difference between today and Tuesday (this was Friday), and the doctor said, well really there's not any difference, so I'll be back right after lunch and we will have a baby!
Me: [running wildly through my office telling everyone I'm leaving] I'M ON MY WAY!!!!!

Fifty-four minutes later {and a drive I don't really remember}, I arrived at the hospital to find that my best friend had been wheeled back to the operating room and was about to start her greatest journey on earth - being a momma. 

Once I was able to go see her, and meet my nephew for the first time, it was then that my journey as a photographer began. 

If you follow me on social media, then your probably know who I am talking about... the blonde haired, blue eyed little boy who is somehow SIX years old! Then two years ago, we added his little sister to the gang, and what a joy she has been!
